Man / woman randomness

One day during lunch, I looked at Rocky and said “so-and-so just texted me…”. His response was “Okay, what do you want me to say?” To which I replied “Nothing. I’m just talking.” Then I went on to explain that women just like to talk out loud so we can sort things out, relieve emotional stress, or make sure we’ve thought of everything. I know this is going to come as a big surprise but we don’t actually expect you men to fix our issue. We just use you to fix it ourselves. I know that sounds pretty bad but actually, we mean that will all respect. We know you are already weighed down with thoughts about work, finances, sports, car maintenance, yard work, etc. We actually prefer to talk to another woman. But if one is not around, then we use the resources at hand. That’s one of the many things we women are good at…being resourceful.

You see fellas, women think they know better than you. (We actually know we know better than you but we’ll be nice and say “think”.) Don’t get me wrong, occasionally we do actually ask for your opinion but usually it’s just to confirm our own thoughts are correct. In these instances we’ll begin our sentences with words like “what did you think about…”, “how did you like…”, “did you see…”, etc. And the appropriate response is to simply nod your head and say yes or no. Don’t hesitate. Don’t elaborate. Don’t give us the answer you think we’re looking for. Just keep it simple…sweetie!
